The nature of TV drama is changing fast and Keeping Faith is a reflection of that. With women now dominating TV commissioner roles, will the depiction of women on screen continue to change and develop so that we see a greater variety of roles for women of all ages and demographics? The depiction of Wales in TV drama is also changing, and from a country seen solely as the preserve of rugby and male–voice choirs, Welsh Noir is now putting the country on the TV crime drama map. But is Welsh Noir significantly different from crime drama being produced elsewhere in the UK and, if so, is the female influence partly responsible?
Matthew Hall, creator and scriptwriter will be in conversation with Hannah Daniel who plays Cerys, and Catherine Ayers who plays Lisa, in Keeping Faith. The Panel will be chaired by Crime novelist, Matt Johnson
