Covid-19 FAQs

WILL I NEED A VACCINE OR TEST TO ATTEND?

Yes. Anyone aged 16 and over, will need to do the following to gain entry:

Show proof of 2 vaccinations at least 14 days prior to your arrival, please use the NHS Covid Pass or bring along your vaccination card, or proof of a negative NHS lateral flow test result within 48hrs prior to your arrival. Lateral flow tests must be reported to https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result before arrival.

HOW DO I PROVE VACCINATION STATUS?

How you prove your vaccination status differs depending on where you live in the UK: please read below for further details.

England

Vaccination status can be proved by using the NHS Covid Pass and we will be asking all double vaccinated attendees to use this as proof of entry. You can download it to your phone, or print out a paper copy, we recommend you do both.

Wales

Vaccination status can be proved by using the NHS Covid Pass, please follow the instructions here and we will be asking all double vaccinated attendees to use this as proof of entry. You can download or print the Pass as a PDF document, we recommend you download it to your phone and print a copy out.

Scotland

If you live in Scotland, you can obtain your full vaccination status here. The letter can take up to 14 days to arrive, if it doesn’t arrive in time you will need to provide a negative lateral flow test.

Northern Ireland

If you live in Northern Ireland, and are using the The COVIDCertNI app for travel, you can also show it to prove your vaccination status at the festival, more info here. If you don’t have this app, you will need to provide a negative lateral flow test.

Europe

We are also accepting the EU Digital COVID Certificate, more info here.

We are aware that there are other forms of vaccination certification available however we are only accepting the ones detailed above. If you can’t provide one of these you will have to provide a negative lateral flow test, details below.

HOW DO I GET TESTED?

You can order lateral flow tests here for home delivery or you can collect them from your local chemist. Upon completing the test you MUST report your result to the NHS: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result. This is so that you can receive a confirmation text or email or an update to your NHS app. A lateral flow test result is valid for 48 hours: we advise you test immediately before setting out on your journey to the Festival.

Wales

Please report your test result here https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result and show us your NHS email or text at the festival box office.

England

Please report your test result here https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result and show us your NHS email or text or app status at the festival box office.

HOW DO I PROVE I HAVE BEEN TESTED?

We will accept a screenshot or printout of your lateral flow test email or text.

Make sure your phone is charged if you’re going to show us the email or text on it!

WILL YOU BE OFFERING TESTING ON SITE?

No – if you can’t prove your vaccination status or negative test result you will be refused entry to our venues.

WHY ARE YOU ASKING THAT PEOPLE ARE VACCINATED OR TESTED TO ATTEND?

Although it will not be the law to request this under Tier 0 regulations, we are still bound to act in the best interests of public health. The onus is being put on event organisers to ensure risks are kept to a minimum. We think this is the best way to ensure the safety of everyone at Crickhowell Literary Festival this year.

WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND BECAUSE I TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 OR HAVE TO ISOLATE?

If you test positive before the event we will refund if you send us proof of a positive PCR test. Refunds can be requested via the Eventbrite booking app and will be approved as soon as proof is received.

WHAT COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS WILL THERE BE?

There is no legal requirement to distance or wear a mask anywhere on site, but if you are more comfortable wearing a face covering, please feel free to do so. Please also be aware that there are differences of opinion on how to handle this pandemic and respect other people’s preferences.

There will be hand sanitizing stations at each venue.
