Crickhowell Literary Festival 2017 is hosted by 9 venues, all within walking distance of the town centre.  Our aim is to provide quality events in small venues which will lend intimacy and encourage audience participation.

Crickhowells independent bookshop and sponsor of Crickhowell Literary Festival. Book-ish is the official bookseller of the Crickhowell Literary Festival and will be attending all events throughout.

2. The Dragon Inn


47, High Street, Crickhowell

The historic, family owned Dragon Inn is also a sponsor of Crickhowell Literary Festival. Events will be hosted in the function room and in a specially erected marquee in the rear garden overlooking Crickhowell Castle.

5. Crickhowell Library


Silver Street, Crickhowell

Crickhowell’s library is fully supportive of the Literary Festival and will be hosting several events over the week. We urge all local residents to become a member and help keep our library open.

The Courtyard, Standard Street

Upper House Annexe is situated next to the newly restored Upper House in The Courtyard.

4. Clarence Hall


Beaufort Street, Crickhowell

A traditional auditorium with striking Victorian wood panelled ceiling and balcony. Fully accessable.

6. Crickhowell Parish Hall


Church Lane, Crickhowell

Crickhowell Parish Hall is a community building located in Church Lane adjacent to St Edmund’s Church. Fully accessible.
