THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT!
Celestine and the Hare – Honey for Tea (Party)
Join Karin Celestine of Celestine and the Hare fame and her band of creatures for a tea party with a difference. Karin will be reading from her books, talking about some of their hidden themes and how these can be conversation starters for those tricky topics parents, carers and teachers might want to broach in a gentle and subtle way. There will also be an opportunity to try out the crafts from the books and ideas for follow on crafts, giving confidence and providing inspiration. This event is aimed at adults, especially useful for parents and teachers but also just good fun for anyone who would like to spend an afternoon being creative and being read to, because as Emily knows, you are never too old to be read to!
Karin Celestine lives in a small house in Monmouth, Wales. In her garden there is a shed and in that shed is another world, the world of Celestine and the Hare. It is a world where weasels are ruled by King Norty, pandas ride space hoppers and bears read stories to each other. It is a place that makes people smile and where kindness and mischief is the order of the day. Karin spends her days bringing to life creatures of all kinds using only wool, observation, words and the power of imagination
“Karin Celestine’s wonderful, life-affirming books encourage us all to keep in touch with and to nurture the playfulness, exploration and hope of childhood. These are books that make the world a better place.”
